A year ago, mommy was...
waiting earnestly for the arrival of little Noah! Once you reached 38th week, I started climbing every stair I saw...we couldn't wait to see you! I still remember waking up every morning thinking could this be the day?! and going to bed telling you, maybe I'll see you tomorrow!
Beautiful Taiwan
Not even an hour of driving from Taipei, we can find beautiful nature of the mountain that surrounds our city. Today was a bit too cold, but we can definitely see ourselves coming back in the summer to enjoy the stream!
We LOVE Yakiniku~!!
The Meat lovers, the Lin and Huang family, going at it again! The moment the mouth meets the juicy yakiniku... is true joy. Hey, when should we go again?!

Preparing for my 1st Xmas!
Today I helped mom decorated a really big tree. I probably did a really good job because the treat after was a very cheezy pizza for the first time!

Inspired
I used to fail at blogging. I would start one, write one or two, and forget about it...and get jealous every time a friend sends a blog link, start another one and forget about it again in no time....have to thank James and Evita for the successful survival of Noah the Milk Junkie...if it wasn't that I could steal pictures from their website(since Noah and Yushi do everything together these days), I would never have any pictures to upload. Thanks to this diligent couple, I can record down Noah's growth and actually make blogging a habit that I quite religiously follow now.
The past couple weeks have been quite a challenge for Joe and I, mainly because I like to have everything under control, in MY control. This put on tremendous burden for both of us. If things don't go as the way I expected, planned, wished, I would freak out and eventually have a nervous breakdown or two. I HAD to learn to let go. And tonight,I came across Amy's website http://higherthani.blogspot.com/2007/05/letting-go.html , where she posted the verse:
"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
I felt my heart watered, refreshed. God gave me an answer and was teaching me how to make things right. What I really want to say is, well, like blogging, I have to make clinging on to God a habit. He's the one that makes things grow. Another point is that I can never do this on my own as I am weak and lazy. Incredible thing is God has placed amazing people in my life who not only let me share their pictures but also their love for God. With their help, I can probably make things right.

Yong Kang St.
We enjoy coming to the Yong Kang Street...the food, the atmosphere, and the interesting little shops. Today we tried out the organic Swiss tea shop, but with me along, of course Daddy and Mommy could not really sit down and enjoy a cup of tea....We ended up getting sweet dessert soup and Chinese pancake, which were both extremely yummy.

Lunch at Yang Ming Shan
We had an incredible 4-hour meal on top of the yang ming mountain today...the food was amazing: healthy, original, delicious. Noah ate a plentiful too. Noah took his morning nap before the lunch, but after the at-least-16-course meal (we lost count...), it was his nap time again!

First Music Class
1) We had our first music class today and Noah loved it!
2 & 3) Noah & Yushi: I wonder what kind of fun moms had planned for us today?!
4,5,&6) Dancing, clapping, shaking along cajun music!
7, 8,&9) Excited and curious, Noah was unable to sit still for more than 3 seconds. Touching every instrument, tasting each one of them of course,...and climbing on the top of the drum!

10 months old!
So fast! Noah's already 10 months old. This September, Noah seemed to have suddenly grown up. He is more alert and independent; recognizing faces, responding to his name, showing signs of emtions and thought process, crying after his mommy! He is also eating meals three times a day, drinking from the bottle(still loves to breastfeed though...), crawling fast, and almost being able to move on two feet by holding on to the side of the sofa. Good job Noah! Noah's Song

Walker and Independence
Now that he can smoothly operates his walker, Noah's beginning to explore the house on his own, wandering away from my sight to the other end of the house. Every day, the distance and time of excursion increases, farther and longer. And while he used to immidietly return to my sight the minute I called his name, in these couple days I often need to go look for him myself. Looking at Noah's back as he strolls away in his walker, I think I am feeling the first mixed emotion of pride and a bit of lonliness of my child's first independence.
