Walker and Independence

Now that he can smoothly operates his walker, Noah's beginning to explore the house on his own, wandering away from my sight to the other end of the house. Every day, the distance and time of excursion increases, farther and longer. And while he used to immidietly return to my sight the minute I called his name, in these couple days I often need to go look for him myself. Looking at Noah's back as he strolls away in his walker, I think I am feeling the first mixed emotion of pride and a bit of lonliness of my child's first independence.
